Turmeric & Ginger

Turmeric is an incredible anti-inflammatory spice and ginger has long been used to fend off colds and infections. These two super ingredients combined pack a powerful punch in cold and flu prevention.  We recommend drinking this tonic regularly. It’s incredible!

1 inch ginger
1 inch turmeric or 1/2 teaspoon of powdered turmeric
1 apple
1 teaspoon of honey

Vitamin C Bomb

We all know what Vitamin C does for our energy and immunity. During cold/flu season it’s especially important to get plenty of Vitamin C. Oranges, grapefruit, kiwi, and cherries have the highest amounts of Vitamin C of all fruits. Blend these super fruits together for a power-packed, flu preventing smoothie!

1 orange
1/2 grapefruit
1/2 cup cherries (fresh or frozen)
1 kiwi

Super Green Chia Berry

Cruciferous greens (brocolli, cabbage, and cauliflower) combined with chia seeds and berries such as cherries, blueberries, raspberries and goji berries create a superfood meal that will detoxify your body and boost your immune system.

1 ripe banana
1 cup blueberries, raspberries, cherries or goji berries
2 – 3 kale leaves, with stalks
1/2 cup cruciferous greens (leaves of broccoli, cauliflower or cabbage)
1 teaspoon chia seeds

Grapefruit Cayenne Juice Tonic

This tonic not only clarifies the body, but tastes delicious. Grapefruit boosts the metabolism while ginger, lemon, celery, and cayenne cleanses the body. Spinach and apple boosts immunity and adds B Vitamins, as well as Vitamin A, C, and K.

1 grapefruit
1 apple
3 stalks of celery
Handful of spinach
1 inch of ginger
a dash of cayenne pepper
1/2 a lemon

Liver Tonic

This recipe is recommended by doctors and nutritionists for cleansing the liver. It contains dandelion greens which are known for detoxifying, aiding digestion, reduce swelling and inflammation, treating viruses, jaundice, edema, gout, eczema and acne. Dandelion greens are a lesser known super food that have 40% more Vitamin A and 70% more Vitamin K than broccoli.
