New year, new skin? We’re back for another round of innovative new skin treatments to try. From high-tech facials to at home devices, here’s our round up of favorite new treatments that will leave your skin gorgeous and glowing.
We recently had a Hydrafacial at Meadowood Spa in Napa Valley and it was nothing short of the best facial we’ve ever had. The treatment uses a hydro wand with suction to exfoliate, extract, and infuse the skin with treatments of your choice (usually peels, Vitamin C, stem cells, anti-aging serums etc.). The result is resurfaced skin that is positively glowing and rejuvenated after one treatment. The best part of hydrafacials is that they’re powerful without being harsh, so you’ll walk out with glowing skin -not red or irritated. Meadowood Spa Hydrafacial, $235 and up
Microneedling sounds (and looks) scarier than it is. Microneedling also referred to as dermarolling is a technique that uses tiny needles to poke micro holes in the skin to induce collagen and elastin production. It’s especially helpful if you have acne scars and other unevenness. While it looks a little scary at first, once the healing process kicks in, skin looks plumper and acne scars and indentions are reduced.
Blue light treatment, once only available at salons, is now easy to do at home with the Foreo Espada device. Espada is clinically proves and uses both blue light and T-Sonic pulsations to prevent and heal acne, killing off bacteria in the process. Best of all, at $149, it’s much more affordable than going to the salon for treatments.
24k Gold Beauty Bar Facial Massager
This product has been hot in Japan and in Asian beauty for some time, but it’s now making its way to the U.S. This gold-plated facial massager vibrates at 6,000 beats per second to stimulate blood flow, reduce eye and facial puffiness, and and help improve tone. If you’re prone to puffiness, this is just the tool you need.
Silk’n FaceFX Anti-Aging Device
FaceFx is a photo-rejuventation anti-aging tool that is used to treat eyebags, crows feet, and wrinkles at home. It uses powerful fractional light to stimulate collagen non-invasively. The result is smoother, healthier looking skin with zero downtime. It’s also clinically tested and recommended by dermatologists for safe home use.
